It all started in May 2023, when a group of friends invited both of us on a camping trip in the South Hills. It just so happened to be both of our birthday weekends, and neither of us knew that the weekend would end up changing our lives. A beautiful night started by a happy lab named Dutton running up to greet Ellie, is what has now become a running joke. Ellie spent the entire night calling him “Doug.” after mistakenly hearing his name wrong. From there, it didn’t take long for us to find excuses to see each other. On June 18, 2023, after a fun night at Topgolf, Parker officially asked Ellie to be his girlfriend. Two years later, on July 19, 2025, he asked an even bigger question. While on a razor ride through the trails of Pine, Idaho, with the summer sun overhead and Dutton happily along for the ride, Parker stopped, took a deep breath, and asked Ellie to marry him. All she said was "Yeah" Over time, our love has grown around the simple things — lake days, shared adventures, laughter, and the unconditional love of one very spoiled dog. We chose May 29, 2026 as our wedding day because it’s the perfect “in between” — right between our birthdays, and a sweet way to honor the time of year we first met. It’s a date that already means so much to us, and now, it will mean even more. From “Doug” to Dutton, from the South Hills to Pine, and from that first smile to the promise of forever — our story is full of happy surprises, and we can’t wait to start the next chapter together.
