Is there parking at the ceremony or reception venue?
Answer
The Cookery does offer valet parking for all guest vehicles. Duke Chapel offers very limited parking for guests. However, we will be providing bus shuttles to and from Duke Chapel, and then back to our hotels at the end of the evening, so no need to drive if you plan to enjoy the open bar!

Yes, the wedding will be black tie.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
If you plan to drive, please arrive to the ceremony by 2:30 pm. The bus shuttles will get guests to Duke Chapel at 2:30 pm.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Yes, on the RSVP card, there will be a section where you can indicate any dietary restrictions. We'll make sure that your needs are accommodated.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Yes, we will be having welcome drinks on Friday evening and a brunch on Sunday morning. Please check the schedule page of this website for details!

Can we leave our cars overnight at the Cookery?
Answer
No, if you plan to drive, you will need to retrieve your car by 11 pm the night of our wedding.

Are kids allowed to attend?
Answer
We love your children and toddlers so much (seriously...so much!). However, we are hoping to have a formal, adults only wedding, which means that if you are traveling in from out of town and want to enjoy Durham with your family, we ask that you arrange for childcare on Saturday night. We hope that parents take this opportunity for a Saturday night out or weekend away!
