Airplane + Taxi + Ferry = Elbow Cay!

First things first, you'll need to fly into Leonard M. Thompson International Airport (MHH). Once you land and go through customs, you'll need to take a taxi (cash only!) to the ferry dock to take a short 20-minute boat ride across the Sea of Abaco to Hope Town, Elbow Cay. There are two ferry companies that can take you to Hope Town - the G & L Ferry and Albury's Ferry Service. Once you get to the dock, just ask the ticket counter which one is leaving for Hope Town next, and hop on! (Go ahead and buy a round-trip ferry ticket so you'll be set for your journey home. It's also the better deal!)

Claiming Your Golf Cart

Golf carts have been provided for the duration of your stay! Our hope is that you take the time to explore the island on your own and fall just as much in love with it as we have! Whether you're staying on your own or with friends, a "Cart Captain" (you'll know who you are!) has been assigned for each group that is traveling together. Cart Captains will be emailed detailed instructions for how to claim the golf cart(s) for their crew.

Bring a Little Cash

The Bahamian dollar is equivalent to the USD, so you can use either currency interchangeably! We recommend traveling with some cash on hand. While most restaurants and shops accept credit cards, you'll need a few dollars for taxi and ferry rides ($20-25 per ride). Since there are no ATMS on the island, bring cash from home!
