We're getting married!

Jake and Ellie’s story began through their church friend group when friends invited them to a Christian concert. Ellie was told to ride in Jake’s truck with her best friend, Gigi — who ironically ended up getting engaged to the guy sitting in the passenger seat! During the drive, Ellie and Gigi were secretly eavesdropping on Jake and Aidan’s conversation about Jake being single, texting each other from the back seat things like, “Did you hear what he just said??” At the concert, Jake and Ellie sat next to each other, though not many words were exchanged. Afterward, Ellie left money in the back seat to thank Jake for driving everyone, and he later texted her about it. Soon after, they were on a FaceTime call for their FCA leadership team when Jake mentioned he was sick. Ellie reached out afterward to tell him she hoped he felt better, and from there, their conversations slowly began. A little while later, their FCA leaders planned a trip to see The Chosen in theaters. Ellie wasn’t planning on going because the movie was so long — but once Jake asked if she would be there, she suddenly had to go ;) After the movie, the two stood in a freezing cold parking lot talking for three hours straight. The very next day, Jake asked Ellie on their first official date for boba tea… and the rest was history.
