I clearly remember the day I met Ellie in a horticulture class at Gateway Technical College. I didn’t know anyone and was usually too shy to introduce myself, but that day I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I noticed two girls around my age, walked over, and introduced myself which is something I normally wouldn’t do. That moment ended up changing everything. Over time, Ellie and I became close, along with Katlyn and Cora, and we made some of my favorite memories together, especially our café dates between classes. I was so proud of myself for making new friends, not realizing that years later we’d all reunite for one of our weddings. Ellie and her family have always been incredibly kind to me, welcoming me into their home and life so easily. I’m so grateful we met! Ellie is an amazing, strong, and brilliant person, and I couldn’t be happier that she found her soulmate in Jack. I wish them both nothing but the best in whatever comes next.

Ellie and I met at Gateway while attending the horticulture program. We both shared a love for plants, critters and all things green! From lunches at the cafe’s, to projects & trips to the arboretums, we spent our early college days experiencing it together. I was so lucky and fortunate to meet Ellie, Taylor and Cora through Gateway. They’ve become lifelong friends that I hold so dearly. I am an avid nature lover, spending most of my free time outdoors. Hiking, camping and skiing are just a few of the things I love most. In the summer time you’ll find me on the farm growing vegetables, spending time on the water with family & can’t forget walking my cat Kiki. Today we celebrate our lovely friend and her partner in such a special day. Ellie, I am so proud to be your friend and beyond excited to see all that is to come for you and Jack. You are such a light in every room you enter, thoughtful, kind and generous. You both deserve nothing but the brightest most beautiful future.
