What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

We understand that travel, due to Covid or personal reasons, may not be possible. You will be missed! So if you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible & RSVP “no,” so that we can plan accordingly

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Your GPS will take you to the venue address. But here are some additional directions: the venue is located on the left hand-side with a long white fence. On the right hand side you will see a church, a home, & then the field to park.

Should we worry about the weather?

Answer

South Carolina can be a fickle state. However, we don't anticipate it to be wet or hot. It may be good to bring a light jacket in the event of a cool breeze in the evening, but we expect to have lovely weather

Will the ceremony/ reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both will take place outdoors, but we have made sure that seating will not be placed in direct sunlight, & there will be a tent for the reception

Where should guests park? Is it free?

Answer

Parking is free. On the day, there will be a gentleman guiding guests into the field to park. The field is directly across from the venue, & is only a short walk

Is the parking/venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! For guests who require a wheelchair, we highly recommend that they are dropped off in front of the venue (there is an accessible driveway), & can easily move throughout the venue for both the ceremony & reception

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation

Will food & drinks be served? What kind?

Answer

We will have both alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages for our guests to enjoy during the cocktail hour & reception. Dinner is roast beef, potatoes, green beans, & rolls. We will also be serving dessert

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Unfortunately we will not be providing transportation from the hotel/place of stay. We are coordinating with our current hotel recommendations to provide pick-up/drop-off to & from the airport. This question will be clarified once we have a definitive answer

May I take the centerpieces/ decorations?

Answer

Yes! As the bride, it has been engrained that at events where family is gathered, everything is available to guests as a souvenir of the evening. Please enjoy our handmade centerpieces & decorations to remind you of our families joining together

Can I take & post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #SuddenlySmith so that we can keep track of all of your pictures!
