Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your Save the Date is not addressed to your significant other, we are not including plus ones at this time. We will be reviewing the guest list in August and will share updated information regarding plus ones at that time. Families are invited as a unit and do not count as a plus one. Where should I stay?

Answer

We have included the venue location on the Travel tab. The restaurant, Alta Fiori, is in Escazú, Costa Rica. You are welcome to book your stay wherever you prefer. Do I need to rent a car?

Answer

Renting a car will make getting around the country much easier, especially if you plan to explore beyond the main towns. However, if you’re only traveling between the airport, hotel, and venue, Uber is available and easy to use. Costa Rica has mandatory insurance that is often not included in the online rental price. We strongly recommend getting bumper-to-bumper insurance to ensure your trip runs smoothly. Without this, even a small accident could result in two of your vacation days spent in a Costa Rican courthouse. Additionally, the required insurance only covers the other vehicles involved in an accident, not the rental car itself. In the worst-case scenario, if the car is deemed totaled, you could be responsible for paying for it in full before you can leave the country. These are extreme cases, but Costa Rica can be unpredictable, and we just want you to be fully prepared! 🚗✨ Alquilar un auto hará que moverse por el país sea mucho más fácil, especialmente si planeas explorar más allá de las ciudades principales. Sin embargo, si solo vas a viajar entre el aeropuerto, el hotel y el lugar de la boda, Uber está disponible y es fácil de usar. Si decides alquilar un auto, ten en cuenta lo siguiente: Costa Rica tiene seguros obligatorios que generalmente no están incluidos en el precio del alquiler en línea. Te recomendamos encarecidamente obtener un seguro a todo riesgo para asegurarte de que tu viaje transcurra sin problemas. Sin este seguro, incluso un pequeño accidente podría hacer que pasaras dos días de tus vacaciones en un tribunal costarricense. What will you be doing after the wedding?

We'll be spending the week after the wedding at the beach! ☀️🏝️ If you'd like to stay nearby, we recommend looking for a hotel or Airbnb near Playa Hermosa, Puntarenas or at the Hermosa Palms or Mystico Resort. That whole stretch of coastline is stunning, with plenty of great spots to relax and explore. Both locations are about 2–3 hours from San José. Estaremos pasando la semana después de la boda en la playa! ☀️🏝️ Si desea hospedarse cerca, recomendamos buscar un hotel o Airbnb cerca de Playa Hermosa, Puntarenas o en Hermosa Palms o Mystico Resort. Todo ese tramo de costa es impresionante, con muchos lugares excelentes para relajarse y explorar. Ambas ubicaciones están aproximadamente a 2-3 horas de San José.
