Marry Now, Celebrate Later

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes COVID, then comes the parties!

We didn't want a global pandemic to upend the start of the rest of our lives, so on October 21, 2020, we tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with 14 of our closest family and friends. Now that the deed is done, we are SO excited to officially celebrate with you, safely of course! In an effort to keep our guest counts smaller and safer, we have decided to split our wedding celebrations, inviting half our guests to our Cleveland Celebration (September 3, 2021) and half our guests to our Madison Celebration (October 23, 2021). Formal invitations for each will be sent out accordingly over the coming months, so keep an eye on your mail. We are so very excited to celebrate our love and newly established marriage with you by our side!

How We Met

When You Know, You Know...

From Ellie's perspective: Dominic and I met at a training at our RE/MAX office. At the time I had been at real estate for four years, and he had just joined, it was his first training, and our mutual friend introduced us. We became friends, I thought he was a wonderful person, so much so that I tried to set him up with one of my best girlfriends. My world had shifted post chemo, and out of what feels like nowhere; our coworkers would say otherwise, I guess they saw it before I did, Dominic and I started dating; after I sent him a text telling him "I pride myself in being honest, and I have to tell you I have feelings for you." I never believed the saying, "when you know you know," until our story began. From Dominic's perspective: Ellie and I were introduced by one of our closest mutual friends. I just started my business and Ellie and I decided to help each other in business and in life. At the time, we were both dating other people and our friendship grew through real estate. Ellie had some health challenges that she asked my advice on, I was able to meet her family during the process and get to know her on an entirely different level. I got to see her vulnerabilities, her strength, and her beauty in a completely different light. Many of our friends kept hinting that we were made for one another. I remember a day I invited her and some friends out boating with me on Lake Mendota here in Madison. Once she left to head home for the night, I looked at my friend and said, "she's perfect for me isn't she?" Never in a million years did I think I would have a chance. She is successful, tenacious, beautiful, and caring. Fast forward to the text message when she flat out told me what was up. I told my parents they had to meet her, and we have been together ever since. When you know, you know. And I couldn't be happier that one text is where our love story begins...
