Ellie & Dan met in the most Wisconsin way - in a bowling league. Between the bottles of Miller High Life, strikes for Dan and a hopeful not gutter ball for Ellie, a friendship began. After dates of watching the Badgers, their beloved Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team and figuring out who has the best chicken wings in the city (Points East for Ellie, Club Garibaldi for Dan), their friendship turned into more. While they may not be in a bowling league anymore and have their differing views on chicken wings, they quickly realized how well the yin and yang of their personalities, Ellie the excited, extroverted one and Dan the calm, introverted one, balance each other. Like a Bloody Mary to its Beer chaser – a true match made in Wisconsin!

On a beautiful fall day, Dan suggested the two of them go apple picking and while that seems a little suspicious looking back, Ellie was thrilled with that idea! Peck & Bushel was an idyllic setting with a beautiful barn and rows of apple trees. After some competitive apple picking - the bag needed to be filled to the brim, Dan suggested going down one of the roped off aisles. Alone in the restricted section amongst the apple trees, Dan got on one knee and the two joyfully decided to spend the rest of their lives together!
