Toddler Caleb met toddler Ellie at Ivy Creek Church. They became friends in the Ivy Creek youth group, where they both joined the Slam Band. (He played a red electric guitar; she sang.) Their families took trips together and grew closer. But Caleb remained just a friend. Ellie was living in Southeast Asia when she started to think maybe he could be more than a friend. Little did she know that Caleb was thinking the same thing...

Caleb took Ellie to downtown Lawrenceville, a frequent date spot, on a 92-degree afternoon. He suggested a walk to the park. Ellie, knowing that Caleb hates the heat, was puzzled. But she didn't suspect anything until he took a few shifty looks around and dropped to one knee. Ellie enthusiastically said yes. We are so pumped to be engaged and can't wait to celebrate with all of y'all!
