We are having a more intimate event, so please only bring guests listed on the invitation.
We will have options for vegetarian, gluten-sensitive, and gluten-free diets. If you have a dietary need that falls outside of these options, please let the bride or groom know and we will work with you. It's important to us that everyone can enjoy a warm meal that will keep them feeling good.
Semi-formal wear is requested. Feel free to wear fall colors or your favorite vintage find!
A cookie table is exactly what it sounds like: a table (or two!) filled with every kind of cookie and sweet you can think of. The tradition runs deep in the heart of Western Pennsylvania and is said to come from the Great Depression Era when guests tried to offset the cost of a wedding cake by bringing home-baked treats for the bride and groom. The tradition most likely started in Italian and other European immigrant communities where both families came together to support the happy couple. Often times cookies are baked with the couple in mind and include family recipes. At the end of the night, guests are provided with bags or boxes to take home extra treats to enjoy later. We invite our guests to bring any and all types of cookies if they are so inclined.
After enjoying a delicious meal together, we will have music and dancing. If dancing isn't your thing, no worries! The upstairs balcony will have comfy seating and board games.
