We are so excited to celebrate with you!

Andy works in the business office at Guerin Catholic. He is also the Cross Country and Track Coach for the school, a team that both Ellie's younger brother and sister have both been a part of. Andy knew her younger brother, Joe, before he even met Ellie. He got to know the Barrett family through his time coaching Joe at Guerin, all while Ellie was still at Purdue. Ellie spent the summer working at Guerin Catholic as the Camp Purple Coordinator for all the summer camps. The summer going into her senior year at Purdue, she met Andy in the business office. Andy was quite shy and kept to himself at first, only speaking to Ellie every few days or so. Eventually, Andy started to warm up and talk a little more at Guerin. He would pass by her desk, say a few things, and continue to go on about his day at work. It was finally at Joe's graduation open house in June where Andy asked Ellie out for the first time. In front of the entire Barrett family, he got her number and asked her to go on a date sometime soon. They went out to Sun King the following week, and have been together ever since!

After watching the Guerin Catholic Cross Country team at Regionals, we left for Chicago Saturday afternoon. We arrived at the JW Marriott Hotel downtown Chicago, and got ready to go to 5:30 mass at Holy Name Cathedral. During church, Andy asked me if I was okay about every 10 minutes. I had no clue why and was very oblivious to the whole situation, but looking back he was very quiet and didn't talk much throughout the mass. Mass ended and we stayed in the church for a bit, admiring the beauty of the cathedral. As we walked out of church, we came across the cathedral's beautiful courtyard and grotto, with a statue of Mary lit up in the darkness. As I started to walk towards the road to make it to our dinner reservation, Andy stopped me in the middle of the courtyard, took my hands, and started his speech. After a few tears and laughs, he got down on one knee and I said yes! Andy's best friend and now best man in our wedding, Eddie Stage, and his wife Maddie came out from the darkness of the courtyard and surprised us. Maddie was able to photograph the entire proposal so we have these memories forever. Andy and I went to Robert's Pizza and Dough Company for dinner, with a beautiful spot on the water and a view of the city. After dinner, we went to the Gwen Hotel for drinks on the rooftop, where my entire family and best friend, Julia Goodin, surprised me. We were all able to spend the weekend in Chicago celebrating!
