Lazy Day Cafe
If you have an opportunity to go out for breakfast, you MUST go to Lazy Day Cafe. This restaurant is unreal and is also owned by Maggie's boyfriends family. We recommend anything on the menu. However, no matter what, you have to order their homemade lemon pancakes and syrup.
The Bagel Project
Fabulous bagel sandwiches! We love the Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich with cream cheese.
Feldman's Deli
Delicious sandwiches. I recommend the Rachel and Alec recommends the Rachel Combo.
Central 9th Market
Unreal sandwiches. I recommend the Club and Alec recommends the Paisano.
Chile-Tepin
Delicious Mexican food. We have gone 10+ times and always get the Parrillada to share. It's divine.
Sapa
Delicious sushi omg.
Mi La-Cai Noodle House
Amazing Vietnamese restaurant. We recommend the La Cai Crispy Eggrolls to start, followed by sharing General Tso's Chicken and a plate of fried rice.
Sugar House Park
This is our favorite park to walk due to its gorgeous views. This is also where Alec proposed!! <3
Silver Lake Boardwalk
This is a great boardwalk (stroller friendly) around a lake for anyone who wants 360 degree beautiful views. It is a little under one mile. From I-15 exit 297 go east on UT-48 to the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. Follow the canyon 15 miles up to Brighton. Silver Lake is behind the Nordic Center on the one-way loop.
Willow Lake Trailhead
This is a beautiful 2.5 mile loop in the mountains. It is a nice hike (600ft elevation gain) with beautiful views all around. There is a high chance you will see moose on this trail so be on the lookout! To find the Willow Heights Lake Trail, go 11.5 miles up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Just after Silver Lake Lodge, watch for a pull out on the right side of the road. Cross the street and start the hike by the sign that says: Willow Heights Conservation Area. We highly recommend this hike!!!
Gloria Falls Trailhead
2.3 mile hike up Little Cottonwood Canyon. This is an awesome scenic hike that leads to a beautiful waterfall.
Cecret Lake Trail
1.8 mile hike that leads to a beautiful lake. This is in Albion Basin which is where we shot our engagement photos. We love this area!! If you don't want to hike, exploring Albion Basin is a beautiful spot with unreal views.
Templin Family Brewing
Awesome brewery that holds a special place in our hearts. Alec and I met here for our first date. <3
Oktoberfest at Snowbird Resort
Snowbird resort holds a huge Oktoberfest festival in the mountains every Saturday and Sunday from August 10-October 13. It is a beautiful excuse to get up in the mountains, shop local vendors, enjoy live music and drink beer. It gets very busy so expect crowds!
