Small town Camp Verde boy, Favian met Elli at The Well in February of 2021 when he came down to Phoenix to visit his best friend, Ethan. Elli had seen Favian on social media in some of Ethan's posts. She was immediately intrigued when she saw him at church, decided to say hi... In an effort to be super charming and cute, Elli came up to the cool brown man and said, "Hi FLAVIAN, my name's Elli, but I'm sure you already know who I am" (assuming that he had also seen her on social media). Favian bashfully explained that not only was his name not "Flavian," but he also had no idea who she was. Needless to say, Elli was indescribably embarrassed, and came away resolving to forget about the charming man from that night. God had other plans, however, and a few days later, the day after Valentines Day, Favian slipped into Elli's instagram DMs, replying to one of Elli's stories. The story in question was a photo of Elli with a "man filter" (a filter that changed her face to look like a man) with the caption, "would you date this?" Favian replied saying "Imma have to pray about that" (Favian would like to clarify that this was an inside joke from church, not a flirtation) When Elli received that message, she got immediate butterflies! From there, they bantered, and soon after their banter turned into sincere conversation. Before the day was over, they had already shared testimonies. Three days later, Elli confessed her feelings, and two weeks after that, they went on their first date. The rest is history!
