Grace and Easton grew up in northwest Florida, where they spent a lot of time not talking to each other. After high school, Grace went to The King’s College in NYC while Easton attended the University of West Florida. This, as you may have guessed, did not bring them together. Finally, in April 2019, while Easton was in Georgia serving at Fort Stewart as a First Lieutenant in the Army and Grace was still on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Easton messaged Grace on Instagram because, as he has told her many times, she "seemed really cool on social media." Then, after a few more messages over the ‘gram, a few visits, a lot of plane tickets, one trip to Disney World, one ring, and a puppy, the rest is history! Or, not quite, but they’re working on making history and can’t wait for you to be part of their upcoming historic event on October 3rd, 2020, at Laurel Hill Farm in the Florida Panhandle.
Three different locations, four different photographers, and myriad adjustments to travel plans and schedules finally resulted in a proposal! While the plan was to have a surprise visit in New York City, Grace had to travel to Georgia since Easton was under travel restrictions from his job. The couple got engaged under a beautiful setting sun in Isle of Hope, Savannah, overlooking the bay. Grace is thankful that Easton figured out something and didn’t end up proposing over Facetime, which he figured would be “literally so easy, babe. Like for real.”
