The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or sports coat.
It is HOT in South Mississippi in September. Rest assured, the ceremony and reception are in the air conditioning at the church. However, if you plan to walk around the beach, courtyard or Friendship Tree be prepared. Please drink lots of water and wear your sunscreen throughout the weekend.
The reception will begin immediately after the ceremony with cocktail hour and some delicious southern treats. The Bridal Party will be taking pictures for about an hour after the ceremony, so guests are welcome to go straight over to the reception area.
TBD. The reception will be ending around 9 PM. We will have a designated after-party location or area and guests are welcome to meet.
We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled.
There are so many places to stay in the area and I would hate to limit guests to one hotel. We have suggested 2 local hotel options, one with a casino and one without. It is also very popular to rent a house through Airbnb or VRBO. We suggest using the locations suggested for those rentals, be sure to google map its location in relation to the church for those 'late night uber rides' ;]
