While Ellen was living in China, she fell in love with milk tea. When she returned to America she fell in love with Ron. It only made sense to introduce the two of them! This bubble tea stand is a frequent visit for the couple and they would both highly recommend trying it if you never have before! Try the classic milk tea with boba.
One of Ellen's favorite reunion spots with friends. She may own a pint glass or two (or 7) from their tours.
Ron and Ellen love being outside, hiking, and going for walks through the city. They recommend beginning the Oak Leaf Trail at the Southern part of the Lake Loop near the Art Museum and walking North along the shore of Lake Michigan. There's plenty of outdoor artwork and landmarks along the way. Ending your stroll with the lakefront Colectivo Coffee is a great way to wrap things up!
A favorite of the art teacher bride. One of the top places to visit in Milwaukee and very family-friendly. They have lawn space for outdoor picnics and walking into the atrium that overlooks Lake Michigan is a great photo opportunity.
Ron's family is proud of their Italian roots and this place does the food justice. Grandpa Brehm used to love eating here and it holds a special place in their family's hearts. If you're looking for an authentic Italian experience Ron and Ellen would highly recommend eating here (or at least sharing a piece of cheesecake!).
Ron and Ellen went to Park Avenue for their second date back in September. It was a defining afternoon that made the couple realize how much they had in common and wanted to continue forming their relationship. It's a place that holds a special place in their hearts. Located on the lakefront in Pewaukee, it's an excellent place to try if you are a fan of thin-crust pizza.
A great spot for coffee and conversation. A favorite of Ellen's that is located all over Milwaukee, but the factory location in the historic third ward is the most cozy and has friendly staff.
Full of shops and good eats, coming to this area of Milwaukee is an excellent way to spend a day. Take a ride on the local streetcar (the hop), explore art galleries near the Marshall building, grab a bite and a brew at the Milwaukee Ale House, and try a dessert at the Milwaukee Public Market.
