FAQs

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with our closest friends and family! Due to venue capacity and our desire to keep the celebration intimate, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, their name will be listed there. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The wedding Mass will start promptly at 1:00 P.M. We recommend arriving 15–20 minutes early to find your seat.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love little ones, we’ve decided to make our wedding an adults-only celebration to allow all of our guests (including parents!) to relax and enjoy the day. We hope this advance notice helps with your planning, and we so appreciate your understanding.

Question

I'm not Catholic. What should I know about the ceremony?

Answer

We are so honored to have you witness our vows. As the wedding is taking place during a full Catholic Mass, it may be longer than other ceremonies you've attended (typically around one hour). Please know that you are simply asked to be our honored guest, your presence is the greatest gift! Here are a few quick guidelines for your comfort and respect for the setting: Standing, Sitting, and Kneeling: The congregation frequently changes posture. Please feel free to follow the lead of the person next to you. Holy Communion (The Eucharist): This is the one part of the Mass reserved exclusively for practicing Catholics who are properly disposed to receive it. If you are not Catholic, please remain in your pew during this time. Alternatively, you may come forward with the line but cross your arms over your chest to indicate you would like to receive a blessing instead of communion. Photography: We kindly request that you refrain from taking photos or videos during the Mass. We will have professional photographers and will happily share the images later.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is plenty of parking at Sacred Heart for the ceremony, but parking is limited at the Yacht Club. Shuttle services to be provided. More details to come.
