We met in Galveston while working towards our physical therapy doctorate degrees at UTMB. Our first date was at our favorite bohemian restaurant in town, The Gypsy Joynt. We quickly bonded over our love for cooking, movie nights, and long runs on the sea wall. That first spark brought us to where we are today.

We went to the Wildflower Center in Austin for a relaxing Sunday picnic. Before we even opened the picnic basket, Estéban got down on one knee and the rest, as they say, is history.
