It all started one night in June when Ellen was a third wheel to her friend, Meghan and her now fiancé, Tim. Before heading home from a day of bar hopping, Tim and Meghan decided to make one last stop at a bar in River North, The Bassment. Little did Ellen know, they had texted Chris to come meet her. After some conversation, (and a few drinks), Chris looked at Ellen and said, “You know we are going to start dating, right?” Chris pulled Ellen onto the dance floor where they stayed for hours without even realizing that their friends had left. A few weeks after meeting, Ellen was leaving on a 6-week trip to Europe, so they decided to make it official before she left. After many sleepless nights of FaceTiming and texting with an 8-hour time difference, they were finally reunited in Chicago where their relationship truly began. Fast forward to August 7, 2021, Chris planned the greatest day by proposing on the River Walk and surprising Ellen with family and friends at their condo in Chicago to celebrate their engagement.
