Chadd and Ellen were introduced on a blind date by two close friends who were dating at the time. The blind date was at The Deck in Salisbury MA. Ellen was very tired after commuting from Boston and working at Boston Children’s Hospital that day, and fell asleep at the table. Chadd was skeptical of Ellen and thought she wasn’t interested in him, so Chadd told Ellen silly stories and thought the date would be a funny story to laugh about with his friend in the future. Ellen asked for Chadd’s number at the end of the date and asked to see Chadd again the next day. Chadd took Ellen for a walk on PI beach, and for dinner at Brown Sugar Thai in Newburyport. Chadd and Ellen talked for hours on their second date, and then became inseparable ever since.
