Is there a dress code?

Answer

We want you to dress so that you feel good and are able to enjoy yourself, though we do recommend you bring out your good pants and shiny shoes. The ceremony will be on grass, weather permitting.

When should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive and be seated by 3:45 at the latest. Ellen would be pissed if you walked down the aisle to your seat with her.

Where do I park?

Answer

There is a large gravel lot as you pull in to 500 Shaftesbury. This is all free parking.

Question

Do you have hotel recommendations?

Answer

Hyatt-House Winnipeg South is the closest hotel, under 5-minute drive (or 30-minute walk), though it is higher-end. Hilton Garden Inn is within an 8-minute drive, a bit cheaper. Stay549 is the cheapest close option, around 5 minutes down Grant Ave. The Park West Inn doesn't require a credit card to book (last I stayed there) and is about 10 minute drive down Grant.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to capacity limits, kids are not on the guest list. However, if you are unable to find childcare, please let us know and you may seat your child(ren) on your lap for the reception.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have invited who we are able to and are at capacity. However, if you may ask to bring a date for the after-party.

Alcohol?

Answer

There will be table wine at dinner, and a cash bar open after. Drinks are $2-3 each.
