It was the fall of 2018 and as fate would have it, we both decided to visit Madison for Halloween weekend. We both decided to go to Madison last minute with friends to celebrate the holiday. On Saturday night we were standing in line at Whiskey Jacks and luckily enough we bumped into each other when a group of men dressed as penguins walked up and stood in line. We were in the right place at the right time to say the least. Zach was wearing aviators and a maverick top gun costume. We immediately noticed each other and started talking while in line. We quickly became comfortable with each other and felt at peace together. For the rest of the night we talked and danced the night away. We hung out the next night as well because we didn’t want to be apart. We haven’t wanted to be apart since.

For Zach’s 26th birthday we decided to go on our first solo trip together to Florida. The trip was magical and filled with incredible moments that we will never forget. The most incredible moment was the proposal. Earlier in the day we went to the beach and then traveled to visit Nikki and Eric in Bradenton, FL. For dinner we decided to go to this gorgeous restaurant on the beach called ‘Beach House’. Nikki and Zach worked together to find the perfect place and had the reservation booked well in advance for sunset. It was a dream. Once the sun began to set we decided to go for a walk on the beach. As we started walking we noticed a wedding arch by the ocean draped in fabric. We wanted to check out the arch and as we were taking in the beauty of the moment, Zach proposed. To make the story even better there was actually a tropical storm coming through that almost wrecked the proposal. Luckily enough the storm turned and missed us completely. We feel incredibly blessed and thankful for the entire experience. We are grateful for those involved in the engagement and for those that love us. We love you all immeasurably.
