Please dress in garden formal or cocktail attire. Soft colors, floral patterns, and light fabrics are encouraged. Attire should balance elegance with the playful nature of our morning celebration at Abigail's Garden.
Colors should be inspired by the soft tones of a summer garden in full bloom. Cheerful hues like blush pinks, light blues, yellows, periwinkles, and soft greens are perfect. Muted florals, subtle stripes, and tasteful patterns are more than welcome. Of course, please refrain from wearing white, ivory, or cream out of respect for the bride.
We encourage ladies to wear elegant attire that reflects the light and fun spirit of our celebration. Dresses in maxi, midi, or tea lengths are encouraged. Classy jumpsuits and dressed up sets are also appropriate. Fabrics like satin, linen, chiffon, or tulle are great choices. When choosing accessories, feel free to have fun with playful jewelry, clutches, and shoes that show off your personal style. The venue is paved so heels and wedges are welcome. Again, please do not wear white, ivory, or cream as those colors are reserved for the bride.
We would like gentlemen to wear polished and seasonally appropriate outfits with a relaxed elegance. Lightweight suits or dress pants with a crisp shirt are great choices, especially in soft or neutral tones. Jackets are encouraged but not required. Recommended fabrics include linen, seersucker, tweed, and cotton. Refrain from wearing tuxedos, polo shirts, and overly dark colors to keep the overall look light and festive.
Any guest who arrives wearing the following will be asked to change or leave. - Jeans and any other form of denim - Lounge wear and athletic wear - Shorts and hemlines above the knee - Sneakers, slides, and flip flops - Informal hats - Overly strong fragrances
This is an outdoor event in July, please check the weather forecast in the days leading up to the wedding and dress accordingly. Our fingers are crossed for a sunny day, but if it rains, the ceremony will be moved to the tented reception space.
