After nearly 9 years of dating, Corey decided it was time to make things official. He spent months planning and with lots of help along the way, he pulled off one hell of a proposal! Here is how it went down: Mike Murray informed Elle that her Jeep needed some routine maintenance and would be in the shop all weekend. Without a car, Corey had to bring Elle into work the morning of January 3rd, which was all part of his master plan! Once Corey dropped her off, he began to set up all the details of the exciting evening ahead of them! At 5:00 on the dot, Corey was there to pick up Elle from work. To ensure she wouldn't want to head home to freshen up, Corey had set up a fake email account posing as their apartment complex. The email informed them that their apartment had been infested with bed bugs and they were not allowed to return that evening till after 6:00 PM.. Elle was told the plan was for them to head to Mitchell's Steakhouse to have one last, big night out before Corey started his last semester of Law School. On the way to dinner, they stopped for a drink at Juniper, a rooftop bar conveniently located near the Arena District. After drinks, Corey insisted they stop and take a walk through the Arena District. Elle was quite resistant to the idea, as they were already late for dinner and it was raining! However, Corey was adamant and as they continued walking, they landed right underneath The Union Station Arch. Before she knew what was happening, he was on one knee! They celebrated by finally heading to Mitchell's for dinner, where the table was filled with Elle's favorites! They then headed back to their apartment, where Corey had decorated with balloons & champagne! The next day was full of champagne tasting, axe throwing and a surprise party with their favorite people!
