Our paths first crossed Christmas 2008 when our families coincidentally ended up at Disney World. Little did we know, we were both looking at the same light show. Eight years later, we would cross paths again at Camp Swamp. Neither of us remember the moment we met, we just remember knowing of each other. Over the years, there were a few brief moments of conversation. In the spring of 2020 a mutual friend formally introduced us and we started talking online. We spent almost all of our new free time chatting and getting to know one another. We watched the entirety of Breaking Bad, found out our favorite movie was Interstellar, and in just a few months we were both smitten. After fourth months of FaceTiming, we met in person at the beach with some friends. We had never been more nervous to see each other. We played games, walked around an antique shop, and relaxed by the water. When we went our separate ways, we knew this was it. Two months later, we saw each other again and went on a date. After kayaking to a beach and having a picnic, we began dating on July 11th, 2020. Over 3 years of long-distance later and here we are.

A bit before the summer of 2023, Elle and Brice had made plans to visit his parents in Idaho. It is such a beautiful place and always a refreshing visit. This summer, Elle had been told they were going out for a family dinner the night after they arrived. Before they left, there were plans to take photos together with some of the scenic views. They drove up to a hill top and started walking down a trail to find the right spot. As they rounded the corner, the most beautiful flower and candle display was awaiting them (you can see said display in the photos tab). Elle was completely taken by surprise, but luckily had done her nails just in case ;). Brice held her hands and led her down to the beautiful arrangement. He stared into her eyes, told her he loves her and that he wants to protect her for the rest of her life. He got down on one knee and asked her for her hand in marriage. She said yes.
