Let The Adventure Continue

Elle and Dave first met on the infamous app “Tinder” while attending the University of Tennessee. They flirted on and off for a few weeks and that seemed to be the end of that, until Elle got a craving for some noodles (No, not like that). She began eating at Noodles and Company, where Dave was working at the time. He immediately recognized her and became … obsessed. He once again started texting her and tried to win her love with the key to her heart, free food. They then started to notice each other hanging out at their favorite watering hole Cool Beans. After a few weeks of nervous flirtation on Daves behalf, Elle finally put him out of his misery with a few magical words ,“Are you going to walk me home or what?” He did. What ensued was several long hard months of Dave asking Elle to make their relationship official, and Elle refusing. There were a few occasions where she finally submitted, only to reverse that decision the following day. Finally, on the eve of New Years 2016, she caved for good and they become a couple. Dave wasted no time swiftly convincing Elle to move back in with his parents (how romantic) after graduation to seek jobs in NYC and a home in Brooklyn. After a hard month of uncertainty they managed to do exactly that. Their first apartment was a high-rise over looking Prospect Park with a view of the NYC Skyline. It was beautiful, one room and too expensive. During their time in Brooklyn they went on many adventures - they walked miles around the city exploring, bounced into Craft Beer Bars, ate endless amounts of incredible food, lived in 2 other Brooklyn apartments, adopted a cat “Morty” and most importantly they became best friends. On July 3rd 2020, Dave proposed to Elle in the midst of a global pandemic. We could easily spend several pages describing that day which included surprise guests, trips to the Emergency Room, rainstorms, and a lot of tears, but we’ll skip to the end where she said, “Yes.”
