Cameron and Ella’s love story began way back in middle school at Meadow Hill—Ella was a wide-eyed 7th grader, and Cameron was the cool 8th grader with those unforgettable green eyes. Ella was instantly smitten, and just like that, their story began. They dated through the school year and summer, until Cameron broke Ella’s heart (wink, wink) by moving on to high school. For the next four years, they walked the same high school halls but never spoke—Ella was still a little salty about that middle school heartbreak. Fast forward to December 2019: Ella was home from college and went to a house party with a friend. Little did she know, Cameron would be there. Sparks flew, but both were too nervous to talk since it had been years. Fate intervened, though, when Ella showed up at Cameron’s house for another party. True to form, Ella was hanging out with the dog, and with a little encouragement from a friend, Cameron finally worked up the courage to say hello. That night, they laughed, danced, and reconnected at Stockman’s Bar—and from then on, they were pretty much inseparable. Their first official date was at Jerry Johnson Hot Springs, and on January 6, 2020, they made it official. Five and a half years later, Cameron decided to make it really official. On August 9, 2025, at Ella’s family cabin on Wild Horse Island, he popped the question on the dock. The proposal almost didn’t happen—just an hour earlier, Ella pulled her hamstring while slalom skiing, and everyone thought they’d be headed to the ER instead. But tough cookie that she is, she powered through, limped to the dock, and said “yes!”—with their parents, siblings Jordan and Megan, and of course Tug the dog there to cheer them on. Together, they’ve survived quarantine, started new careers, juggled school, taken countless trips, endured three surgeries, played some very competitive cribbage and gin games, moved in together, and even adopted a cat. And now—they’re ready for their biggest adventure yet: saying “I do” and spending forever doing it all over again.
