If you want to get outside and see a little more of central Austin, walk around Lake Bird lake. There are many places to enter the trail, but our favorite is by Auditorium shores and there is a parking lot nearby!
Great casual breakfast spot that we go to all the time because it is right by our house! Grab coffee or a michelada from inside Radio and go to the Veracruz food truck for a breakfast taco. We recommend the migas poblanos taco, guacamole, and steak taco on flour. Make sure you aren't in a rush through - Veracruz typically has a 45 min wait, but it is worth the deliciousness!
The perfect lunch spot with all the vibes! Head to Fresa's on South First (not the North Location) and either sit outside if the weather is good or insider their colorful fun ambiance. We love the wood grilled meals and classic queso, but honestly their house marg with anything will make your lunch experience beyond amazing!
The greenbelt is an amazing relaxing place to hike and explore, plus it is where we got engaged! During the fall/winter there isn't a lot of water, but if the weather is cool enough it is a fun place to explore.
A fun indoor/outdoor upstairs patio that is a blast to hang out and either grab a drink, casual tacos, or play fun games like giant jenga, connect four, corn hole and more! Try the braised brisket taco - YUM!
Need a cocktail? Want to explore East Austin, but not sure how? Stop by Whisler's for a fun cocktail and relaxed outdoor vibe. Great place to stop by during the day or night. Head upstairs to their Mezcal vibe to feel like you stepped right into Mexico for a smokey drink.
