Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 8th, 2026. This gives the couple 2 months until the wedding to solidify a guest count and work out details with vendors.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The venue itself has limited parking. You will need to park along the street (Heritage Drive) or take the shuttle from the hotel to the venue.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a shuttle from the Holiday Inn Express and the Hampton Inn to the venue the day of the ceremony. Please refer back to the website at a later date for the shuttle schedule.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony starts at 4:00, so if you're driving on your own we recommend arriving about 3:30 or earlier.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have hotel blocks at the Holiday Inn Express and the Hampton Inn along the lakeshore. There is more information on the hotel and travel page. Marquette is a tourist destination in the summer, so there are several options for Airbnbs and Vrbos in the city as well - but be warned they fill up fast!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We included a question about food allergies on our RSVP form. If you have an allergy or preference, please include it there and we will work with our caterer to accommodate you.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding is entirely outdoors. There will be a large tent for shade, but keep an eye on the weather and dress accordingly :)

What are the wedding colors?

Answer

The bridesmaids and groomsmen will be wearing blue and yellow. Ella and Hudson don't really care if you match the wedding party, but if avoiding those colors matters to you, now you know!

What is the couples' new last name?

Answer

We will both be changing our last names to Houwers-Lowery. We know it's a little unorthodox, but we're excited to honor both of our families and share the same last name as we start our own family.

Is everything at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Our reception, ceremony and rehearsal dinner are all located at Carp River Gardens.
