We met back in fourth grade at our intermediate school—just two kids in the same friend group, probably more worried about recess than anything else. Growing up, we were always around each other, laughing, hanging out, and having crushes on each other… but never actually doing anything about it. That didn’t change much in high school either—we stayed friends and in the same friend group, always around each other, still never quite making a move. Just circling the same story for years. Then life did its thing, and we went our separate ways. For three whole years, we didn’t see each other at all—even though we were living in the same city the entire time… literally seven minutes apart. Seven. Minutes. And somehow never ran into each other. Not at a store, not at a game, not even at a red light. Honestly impressive. But in 2024, we finally crossed paths again at the pickleball courts (because of all places, of course). What started as a casual run-in quickly turned into something way more. Looking back, it’s pretty clear God had a better timeline than we did. He let us grow on our own, then brought two old friends back together exactly when we were ready. And this time… we actually did something about it. And now, here we are—getting married, and I finally get to become a Braunschweig. Funny how it took all those years, but it turns out we were always headed right back to each other.
