Question

What is the theme?

Answer

"Magnolias in the Park" Join us for a day in beautiful Winter Park as we celebrate the beginning of our forever, surrounded by the timeless charm of old Florida and the sweet perfume of magnolias. Our wedding day begins with a sacred ceremony at a historic Catholic church, where we will exchange our vows before God, our families, and those we love most. From there, the celebration continues just down the tracks at a rustic, historic train station—where old Florida character meets southern elegance. Inspired by the charm of Winter Park’s tree-lined streets and historic architecture, our theme blends southern romance, magnolia blossoms, and a touch of refined western spirit. Picture soft magnolias and ambiance set against warm wood, historic brick, and vintage railway details. It’s classic, romantic, and just a little bit wild—where timeless elegance meets a hint of country flair. Winter Park itself feels like stepping into another era, with its oak-lined streets draped in Spanish moss and its historic downtown filled with charm and character. We wanted a setting that felt both romantic and authentically Floridian, and nothing captured that better than magnolias in bloom and a celebration rooted in history. Our vision brings together the bold, polished spirit of the south—think tailored black suits, cowboy boots, and stetson hats—with the soft romance of magnolias, warm light, and vintage southern elegance. The result is a celebration that feels both refined and relaxed, timeless yet full of personality.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

BLACK FORMAL OR COCKTAIL ATTIRE ONLY To match the elegance of the day, we kindly ask guests to wear all-black attire with a western twist. Satin, velvet, chiffon, lace—choose the style that speaks to you, but please keep the color palette black to help create a beautifully cohesive atmosphere. Let the monochromatic look highlight your style while complementing the romantic magnolias and rustic elegance of the venue. Ladies: Flowing black gowns, tailored dresses, or chic cocktail attire are perfect choices. Feel free to add subtle western touches such as statement belts, jewelry, or cowgirl boots if you’d like to lean into the theme. Gentlemen: Sharp black suits or tuxedos are encouraged. Slacks, button-ups with ties and cocktail attire acceptable. Pair them with cowboy boots, bolo ties, or classic ties for a refined western feel. If you have a cowboy hat (felt preferred), feel free to show it off. We are so grateful for the effort you’re putting into celebrating with us and embracing our theme. Your presence means the world to us, and we cannot wait to share this unforgettable day together! It'll be a celebration full of magnolias, music, laughter, and a little boot-scootin’ magic!

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We encourage guests to begin showing up to the church at 12:30pm or earlier, as the parking lot may fill up quickly, and seating is first come, first served. The doors will be closed and not reopened after 12:55pm, as the ceremony begins at 1pm and there will be no disruptions permitted. Everyone must be seated and situated before 1pm.

Question

Will I need to RSVP?

Answer

Yes! Please RSVP by March 31, 2027.

Question

Are little ones welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we ask they baby-sit this one out! Thank you kindly.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we kindly ask that only guests listed on the invitation attend. All couples have already been included in the guest count. Unless previously discussed with the bride and groom, we are unable to accommodate additional guests. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Will it be an "unplugged" ceremony?

Answer

So long as guests do not block the ceremony from being captured by our photographers and keep phones discreet (no flash, silenced devices, and being mindful of others’ views and photography shots), you are welcome to take photos and videos. However, we kindly ask that phones remain put away during the Mass portion of the ceremony. As the ceremony nears its conclusion, you are welcome to take them out to capture a few special moments. This helps preserve the reverence and sacredness of the Mass. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

For the ceremony: There will be parking at St. Margaret Mary, however, after the ceremony concludes, they ask that guests move their vehicles to another location, as another wedding is likely to commence an hour after ours ends. For the reception: We have a small private parking lot with limited space. Once that is filled, guests will have to park at the various parking lots around Winter Park. There is a parking garage around the corner from St. Margaret Mary located at 150 West Canton Ave. There is also parking at the Winter Park train station located at 110 North New York Ave. There is also a parking garage located at 150 West Lyman Ave (directly across from the train station). Street parking is also available if you can snag a spot, and there are smaller lots spread throughout the area.

Question

Will there be a shuttle from the Church to the venue?

Answer

Unfortunately we do not have access to a shuttle for guests. However, the walking distance from the Church to the venue, or any of the suggested parking areas to the venue, is brief and filled with beautiful scenery, along with various little shops. We encourage you to enjoy the fresh air and Winter Park charm, especially during our break in time between the ceremony and the reception.
