We first met back in 2012 at a summer music camp in Southwest Virginia called Mountain Music School. We both were learning to play the guitar and didn’t talk to each other all week until he made the first move the very last day! I gave him my number, but despite seeing each other every other year, nothing ever happened. Fast forward to 2016, I get a message on Facebook! It had been 2 years since seeing each other and a lot had changed since then. We started dating in October and from that point on, it started the beginning of our long distance relationship. We took turns seeing each other when we could, such as going to each other’s big events, high school graduations, and more. Once I moved to Radford for college, we were finally able to see each other at least 2 times a month. What a change! It was not easy, but we made it work through all the ups and downs. After graduating college, I moved to Johnson City, TN to be a nurse at the medical center in 2021. How exciting it was to go from seeing each other here and there every month to more than once a week! February 2022 rolls around and I get told that we are going to the Biltmore to celebrate Valentine’s Day! I could tell he was getting nervous about something, so I had an idea something might be happening. Next thing you know, he pops the question! To say I was excited would be an understatement. It was a moment I know we will both never forget. Now here we are getting married!!!
