We're Getting Married!

Elke and Ryan met in middle school when he was the new kid and she was the chunky girl with hair like Hagrid. Ryan was kind of mean to her, but he swears he told his friends he was going to marry her one day. After a few awkward years, they lost touch—Ryan went to Green Hope, Elke went to Cardinal Gibbons—and life went on. Fast forward a few years, and Elke ran into Ryan at party. Somehow, Elke convinced Ryan to get a car wash with her and her best friend the next day. Elke's car was actually spotless and had just been washed two days prior. After that “car wash” which was Elke's excuse to get Ryan to hang out with her, they started seeing each other more, but Ryan never had the guts to ask Elke out. They graduated, and Ryan went off to Hargrave Military Academy while Elke headed to High Point University. They lost contact until one day, Ryan pulled up next to Elke at a stop light. He proceeded to lay on the horn to which Elke didn't hear. Later that day he sent her a random text—a completely made-up story, just to start a conversation. From there, it was like they picked up right where they left off. Ryan never stopped texting Elke, and she never stopped making fun of him for it. After five wonderful years together, Ryan finally proposed to Elke at the NC Art Museum, on a sweltering 90-degree day. Despite the heat leaving them both drenched in sweat, it was still perfect. Now, they're getting ready to say "I do" (also on a sweltering day), and start the next chapter of their lives.
