Great question. We encourage our guests to carpool as much as possible, as parking will be limited. There is a commuter lot right near exit 91 (15 Taugwonk Road, Stonington CT 06378). From there, it is a 15 minute walk to the venue. There are no sidewalks, so be mindful that you would be walking on the shoulder of the road. We have organized a two-car parking shuttle between the lot and the venue in friends' cars. This means if you are driving, you must arrive by 3:10 so that we can coordinate a pickup from the lot. An email/text will go out on Thursday with contact information for coordinating the shuttles. Please text Lizzy or Lillian before Thursday if you are planning to drive to the venue so that they can assess numbers in advance.
Dinner is buffet-style, catered from Pink Basil (local Asian Fusion restaurant in Mystic, CT). We have tried all of the food, and it is delicious! As for drinks, there will be beer, wine, and pre-mixed batch cocktails. Please do not drink so much that you cannot stand, and if you are driving, make sure you have a sober ride home.
Lillian is a minister. Lizzy is a scholar of religions. Our ceremony will naturally be a worship service and will include communion. This also means the service may be longer than a secular wedding service. All people are welcome (but not required) to take communion. We know not everyone is Christian or believes in God, but we hope that you will respect this part of our celebration!
Cottage-core maximalist meets whimsical fantasy! We love color. Jewel and gem tones would be great. Floral patterns are welcome. No white or blush/light pink. Outfit suggestions: maxi dresses; flowy skirts; patterns, embroidery, and lace; vests and cotton button downs; no ties, bow ties, and fun, vintage-y ties all welcome. If you have any questions, please reach out to either of us, and we will give you advice. Please also consult this Pinterest Board: https://pin.it/3ljBXqcIs Keep an eye on the weather, as we want you to be comfortable.
Yes! We will have a registry, and we would love for you to use it! That being said, if there is something special you would like to make for us as part of your gift (e.g. a craft you have, a tradition you do), we welcome it!
Six weeks before the wedding... and if you don't... we'll hunt you down... with DOGS (marcel the cat). WOOF.
