Hyatt Centric Old Town Alexandria

We have a reserved a room block for guests at the Hyatt Centric Old Town of 25 rooms for the weekend at $129 (plus tax) a night that can be reserved at this rate through Thursday, May 5th. Click through below to book your room. This hotel is a couple of blocks to the Old Town/King Metro Stop (a quick 2 stops from DCA and 6 stops from the city for those wishing to explore). Old Town itself is a wonderful neighborhood brimming with history, boutique shops, and wonderful food.

Shuttle

Hotel-Wedding Shuttle

We have rented a 56 Passenger Motorcoach for our guests staying at the Hyatt Centric Old Town to use to shuttle to the wedding and back. You can find its shuttle schedule below. 3:45pm: Be ready for the shuttle at the Hyatt Centric 3:50pm: Shuttle Arrives at the Hyatt Centric 3:55pm: Shuttle Departs for the Hyatt Centric 4:15pm: Shuttle Arrives at Cedar Knoll 9:00pm: First Shuttle Option to the Hyatt Centric 10:00pm: Final Shuttle Option to the Hyatt Centric Please note, for those who wish to drive to the venue instead (approximately 15-20 minute drive), there will be plenty of parking at Cedar Knoll.

Flight

Washington National/DCA

If you are planning to fly to get to the wedding, we suggest flying into Washington National/DCA. DCA is just 2 stops away from the hotel block on the Blue & Yellow lines. However, if you prefer taking a taxi, Lyft, or Uber it's only a 10-15 minute drive. Baltimore (BWI) and Dulles (IAD) are also options to get you to the region, but with both, the metro doesn't get out there and your liable to run up a pretty hefty taxi/Lyft/Uber bill as it tends to be in the best of traffic a 45 minute drive to either.

Train

Metro Accessibility

As noted, the hotel is very Metro Accessible from both DCA and the city. Just a couple blocks from the Old Town/King Street Metro stop, you'll have easy access to both the airport and the city via the yellow and blue lines. If you are planning to drive to get to our wedding and stay in our room block, there will be discounted parking at $20 a night.

Travel Note

Free King Street Trolley

For folks staying at the hotel, there is a free trolley that will take you back and forth on King Street. They stop every 15 minutes between 11AM and 11PM, every 2-3 blocks between the metro station and Alexandria City Hall. Conveniently, a waterfront/City Hall bound stop can be found right across the street from the hotel. Click through on the website to find out more and download the trolley map.
