The USNA museum is also on-site at Preble Hall, offering two floors of exhibits about the history of seapower and the U.S. Navy.

The six-mile Cross Island Trail traverses the width of Kent Island. The Chesapeake Heritage & Visitors Center*, located on Piney Narrows Road in Kent Narrows serves as a trail head and a Chesapeake Bay Gateway hub. ​ From Kent Narrows, the trail crosses Kent Island continues to Terrapin Nature Park. which is located on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake Bay in the Stevensville region. The beach here is a popular place for sea glass hunting, hiking, biking, and picnicking.
