Tim and Elizabeth met in Durham, NC in the fall of 2010. Elizabeth was returning to Duke for her final year of grad school and Tim just happened to be there as well, finishing up his degree. Elizabeth first met him in one of her classes, but was more focused on finishing school forever than dating. They started studying together and hanging out at Bull McCabe's (credit to Malachy Noone). After finally going on a first date, they figured it would be worth it to keep making each other laugh and to having adventures together.

Tim and Elizabeth were on a roadtrip from Colorado to New Mexico. While hanging out in Taos, Tim proposed as the desert sun was going down. If you want a better story, ask Tim about the ring "fiasco."
