In Memoriam
Paisley Ann Neville, a beloved companion and cherished member of the Neville family, passed away on November 1st, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois, due to sudden neurological issues. She was just 12 years old. Paisley's memory is cherished through the simple yet heartwarming moments that defined her life. Her tippy-tappies on the hardwood floor, tender nose kisses, endearing stubbornness, and old-age attitude will forever be etched in the hearts of her loved ones. One of the most profound connections in Paisley's life was with her companion, Lizzie. They shared eleven glorious years together, and their bond was unparalleled. They understood each other with just a glance, sharing a language known only to them. Paisley found immense joy in hunting, particularly during visits to Grandma and Grandpa's "farm." Her enthusiasm for this activity was unmatched, and she relished in the chase of squirrels, rabbits, and field mice. Her tail wagging, her face beaming with delight, she would often emerge from the ground with an actual mouse, proudly showcasing her accomplishments. Paisley's love for chicken was legendary, but her fiercest trait was her protectiveness, especially towards Lizzie. She had an uncanny ability to discern true friends from the rest, often giving the "stink eye" to those who crossed her path in the wrong way. Her approval was a badge of honor earned by few. When Tom entered her life, he was met with her approval, signifying her deep sense of trust and affection.
& Wedding Day
Paisley's final walk was a beautiful autumn day, filled with the rustling of leaves to be sniffed and explored. She savored the moment and left this world with contentment. Paisley leaves behind a loving family who cherished her presence daily. She is preceded in death by her canine companions, Gibson, Harley, and Duncan. As a final tribute, a few tuffs of Paisley's fur were collected on her last day and placed in a beautiful velvet blue bag, accompanying Tom to our wedding service, where Paisley's memory was honored and celebrated. Paisley's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her. She was a loyal and loving friend, and her memory will be cherished.
