How We Met

This Country Love was Destined to be...

After Elizabeth found her Birthparents she decided to move from Garden City, KS to Oklahoma City to get to know all of them. This move also helped her career in Education immensely! Elizabeth knew her guy wasn't in her small town and decided to download a dating app to help her meet new people before she moved. In March of 2019, Elizabeth and Tank "matched". Little did she know, her birth father and her now Fiancé had known each other for over ten years. It's safe to say that whether or not Elizabeth was adopted, she would've connected with Tank eventually. Tank was a man of many talents. He has worked in the Oil Field, been a Firefighter, wrestler, cage fighter, bareback rider, and most successful as a Professional Bull Rider! Elizabeth, had small town vibes, but big city dreams, and had never met a cowboy before. For their first date on August 19th, 2019, they met in the parking lot at Bass Pro Shops. Tank pulled up in a 2012 GMC with an 8" lift kit, and 22" rims. Elizabeth's little Jeep Cherokee parked alongside his monster truck tentatively. Tank and Elizabeth both got out of their vehicles and it was clear that she needed to change from her heels to her converse to match the first date vibes. They walked to Fuzzy Tacos in Brick Town and shared Tacos and Drinks. While walking back to their vehicles, Tank told Elizabeth "My Grandpa always told me that if you don't kiss her on the first date, you're stuck in the friend zone". He spun her around, on the corner of Reno & Joe Carter Ave, and they shared their first kiss. Days later, Elizabeth, who disliked all country music at the time, was at her very first Country Live Music Festival, Jake Jam. Tank taught her how to two step and spun her around on the field. Tank, a professional bull rider, then took her to a Black Rodeo and showed her the ropes behind the chutes. It's fair to say that it didn't take long for Elizabeth to fall in love with Country Music and her Cowboy. A couple of years later the couple was finally settle in Deer Creek and even started a Trucking Company together, Tanks Trucking & Transport, LLC. Elizabeth’s son didn’t take long to cling to his new father figure as Tank taught him many things. Mason is 8 now , but over the years Tank taught him how to tie his shoes, fish, ride a 2 wheeled bike, ride a bull, and woo the ladies in 2nd grade. Mason and Tank love spending time together reading Martin Luther King or The Magic Treehouse Books before bed and even have a secret handshake. I wonder when this beautiful family of three will grow… <3
