Memorial Union
The proposal location (!!) and Elizabeth and Steven's go-to hangout spot in Madison. Grab a pitcher of Spotted Cow, a brat, and a scoop of Babcock ice cream to have the quintessential Madison experience. Enjoy the lovely spring weather and views!
Lakeshore Path and Picnic Point
The Lakeshore Path and Picnic Point trails are flat, easily walkable trails near downtown Madison.
Dane County Farmers' Market
The farmers' market takes place on Saturdays from 6:15am - 1:45pm on Capitol Square. We recommend going early to avoid crowds. Our favorite booth is Stella's for their spicy cheese bread!
Henry Vilas Zoo
The Vilas Zoo is free and a great way to spend an afternoon walking around! It's right next to Vilas Park and the Arboretum if you would like to spend more time enjoying the outdoors.
State Street
Our favorite spots on/near State Street include: The Old Fashioned (must get the cheese curds), State Street Brats, Ancora, Parthenon Gyros, The UU, Graze, Genna’s, Lucille, Tipsy Cow, Cento, Chocolate Shoppe, and happy hour at Rare.
