Wedding Party

Liza Mason

Maid of Honor

Liza and Elizabeth met at High Point University where they were roommates for 3 years. Liza and Elizabeth hit it off instantly and knew they were going to be best buds since day one. Liza is a Montana native and a special education teacher in Moore County North Carolina. Her favorite memories of her and the bride are drinking wine while petting llamas at the divine llama vineyard and how they did 20 pushups to Lou Begas' "Mambo Number 5" every day for an entire calendar year together.

Tessa May

Maid of Honor

Tessa and Elizabeth first met as big and little on the HPU board of stewards chapel leadership team. They then roomed together the following year and Elizabeth even moved in with Tessa and her family during the pandemic. Tessa was the Godmother to Elizabeth's beloved guinea pig Juan Soto. Tessa is a special education teacher in Franklin Massachusetts. Her favorite memory with the bride is their Virginia beach trip where Tessa ate crabs for the first time and got drunk with Linda Lee by accident

Sara Seaford

Bridesmaid

Sara and Elizabeth met when Elizabeth sat next to Sara at chapel and introduced herself, despite having thoroughly stalked Sara on social media and predetermining they were going to be friends. They share a love of horror films and wiener dogs. Sara has stuck by Elizabeth through it all and is an incredible person to have in your corner. Sara is a family advocate in Winston Salem NC. Sara’s favorite memories with the bride include a late night at a train station, attending dances together, visiting DC, and always being there for each other.

Traci Etheridge

Bridesmaid

Traci is the youngest Horwedel sibling and Elizabeth could not be happier to have her as a sister in law. Traci is a dedicated pet parent and deserves a shout out for housing the bride and grooms two cats while they house hunted. Traci’s favorite memory with the bride is the first Thanksgiving they spent together when Elizabeth decided to break the ice by discussing cannibalism at the dinner table.

Adrienne Krum

Bridesmaid

Adrienne kindly rented Elizabeth a room in Tampa and quickly became a treasured friend. They spent many nights together eating takeout, playing card games, and watching movies. Some of Adrienne's favorite memory with the bride include converting Elizabeth into a cat person and sharing in the tradition of the advent bro. Adrienne had a front row seat to the beginning stages of Elizabeth and Spenser's romance and offered constant advice and a listening ear. She is a pet mom to six crazy animals (Including Pepper who is famous for her "peppy flops" and Pua who's face looks like a bicycle seat) and a human mom to our Junior Bridesmaid. Elizabeth deeply appreciates her friendship and kindness and is honored to have her stand by her side on her wedding day.

Brook Cafaro

Junior Bridesmaid

Better known as “Tiny Roommate” Brook and Elizabeth met when Elizabeth was renting a room in Brook’s mother Adrienne’s house. For the 18 months they were roomies, Brook and Elizabeth enjoyed smoothie bowls, wild makeovers, and many wonderful movie nights. Brook says her favorite memories with the bride are beating her in uno, making friendship bracelets, going to Busch Gardens, and many late night conversations. While Brook was mildly irritated that Spenser stole her roomie away, she knows she will always be our tiny roommate

Chance Squatrito (Duckie)

Groomsman

Chance is 6'1 with a self proclaimed grunge skating vibe. He and Spenser met while serving in the Air Force. Chance enjoys fixing what's broken, playing video games, and helping out anyone in need. His favorite memories with the groom include nights at the blue monkey country bar playing pool and talking about life and a trip to Utah to see 21 pilots in concert. Chance considers Spenser to be a brother not but blood but by choice, and is honored to stand by his side on his wedding day.

Coty Zahnle

Groomsman

Coty is a proud Uncle of 5 awesome kids and is a sports fanatic. He enjoys catching up with his friends and playing video games. Coty feels very fortunate to have met Spenser and the other groomsmen all thanks to the internet.

Joe Malone

Groomsman

Joe is the younger brother of our Bride Elizabeth. He enjoys music, comedy, living in a big city, baseball, dogs, and the occasional bubble bath. He would like to thank Elizabeth for enduring childhood with him and Spenser for his excellent taste in Christmas movies. Joe always has a witty retort ready to go and would love to share is perfected Boston accent with you.

Devin Nelson

Groomsman

Nelson is one of Spenser's best friends for many reasons but mainly because of their mutual understanding of both trust and love from shared experiences and the unique ability they have on one another to make each other better people. Devin is 28, single ;) , loves to play video games, read, death scroll, and collect money from the government by getting paid to do his job. Nelson worked with Spenser at Camp Darby in Italy as Munitions system technicians. Nelson is still a member of the US Air Force and is stationed in Panama city FL and will return there after his current deployment. Nelson is also a volunteer firefighter and is working towards his bachelors degree in fire sciences or something, he'll figure it out when he grows up. His favorite memory with Spenser was Halloween in Florence when Spenser dressed as a "Sexy maid" and exuded confidence and cheerfulness to every man, woman, or stray cat that crossed his path. It was a night full of Spenser's iconic "window washer" laugh and big smiles.

Nicholas Horwedel

Groomsman

Nick has been Spenser's youngest brother for as long as he has been alive. He has a passion for learning. To quote one of his and Spenser's favorite anime's "We humans are hungry creatures, we must continue the hunt for knowledge as long as we live." Nick's current interests include rock climbing, black smithing, and software development. He hopes to move into the IT field from his current position as an auto mechanic. Then the door to video fame design with Spenser as an independent studio is wide open! Nick cherishes all the time he gets to spend with his brother, but if he had to pick a favorite moment, it would be when Spenser came to visit him in Ohio after his 21st for a few brewskis. Spenser was on leave from duty and took some of the limited time he had to come visit and it made Nick feel very special. "Thanks for coming through for me brother" Nick would like to wish Spenser and Elizabeth both joy and success in all their endeavors.

Kevin Horwedel

Groomsman

Kevin is a proud brother of the groom! Sometimes it is difficult to remember things about himself due to a certain incident involving a plastic hammer and his older brother, but what he does know is he loves bicycling, his Catholic faith, and board games. His favorite being social deduction games like mafia. (Kevin admits to radiating evil energy while playing) It's been such a joy to see the relationship between Spense and Elizabeth develop; she's been a great influence on his life in many ways ( and vice versa) and Kevin feels very blessed and honored to be a part of this wedding party!
