In a world where plans are meticulously crafted, sometimes the most remarkable journeys unfold in the unplanned moments. Ours is a tale of dropping everything for a chance at fate, a serendipitous encounter that not only ignited a profound connection but also set the stage for a life together that defies the conventional. Ellie left for a backpacking trip around Europe in 2022 - and little did she know, this journey would lead her to Split, Croatia, and eventually to the love of her life, who was waiting halfway around the world. Destiny intervened when a trip to Egypt was cancelled and Ellie found herself at a ferry station in Split with no plan. Boarding the first ferry to any island, she landed in Brač - specifically, in the quaint port of Supetar. She was exploring the Old Town, feeling lonely and nervous about her lack of plans, when she stumbled upon a charming restaurant tucked away in an alleyway. A cheerful voice pierced the silence – "Hi there!" – and out popped Senci’s head from the door of the restaurant. The universe, it seems, had our backs from the start. What followed was a week of sunshine, shared meals, laughter, and a connection that can only be known by two kindred spirits. After a week together, Ellie packed her things again and continued her travels, but she knew she left something special back on that island. Throwing caution to the wind, she canceled her flight home and booked a one-way back to Split. Only after we reunited, did we realize that our dreams aligned in ways unimaginable – a shared desire for freedom and a life of adventure. We had both daydreamed about seeing the world, and together, we resolved to turn this dream life into a reality. After the summer season, our real journey together really began - starting with a ‘round-the-world trip, and now living together in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 3 years later, we can confidently say that we are in fact living our "dream life" - simply because being with each other is a dream come true every day. Life works in mysterious ways, and it sure has been a whirlwind - but we feel so lucky for every step of this crazy journey together. And we’re so grateful that fate is now bringing us back to the place we met, and that, this time around, we get to bring all of our favorite people with us!
