We first met on a summer night in 2003 when the McComishes walked next door to meet their new neighbors, the Farises. We ate popsicles in the playroom with Katherine, Miller, and Mary Kate, and from then on, along with our neighbor, Claire, the 6 of us were a close neighborhood crew for many years. The summer before our senior year of high school, the McComishes moved away from Scotland Avenue to Lake Bluff, but Scott flew back to Charlotte so that we could go to prom together. We remained best friends post-move and made lots of Skype calls when we were homesick during our first semester of college and while abroad in Dublin and Heidelberg. Scott was one of Elizabeth's debutante marshals in 2013, so we already have pictures of us together wearing a wedding dress and a tux. We then fell out of touch as we settled into our adult lives and Scott moved around the country with Abbott. The Farises and Chris & Amy overlapped in Kiawah for 1 day in May 2025 and it was like no time had passed. Amy (always thinking a few steps ahead) invited the Faris girls back down for the 4th so that the kids could all reconnect, and the rest is history. Since then we’ve spent our weekends between Columbus and Charlotte as well as visiting family around the country. Scott proposed at Wild Dunes over Easter weekend to make it official. We are so excited to be joining each other's families with whom we have been so close with for so long and we’re so honored to have you there to celebrate our wedding day with us!
