Things To Do

For our out-of town guests, we are so excited that you’re joining us in Charlotte! Below are recommendations for restaurants and other things to do. This is just a small sample of some of our favorites. There are tons of options all around Charlotte!

Legion Brewing - Southpark

5610 Carnegie Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28209

This is one of our favorite breweries in Charlotte, and they have great food! If you like IPAs, Sam highly recommends Juicy Jay.

Paco’s Tacos & Tequila

6401 Carnegie Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28211

This is one of our favorite restaurants right next to the AC & Marriott hotels, which is on the more casual side.

Rooster’s - Southpark

6601 Carnegie Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28211

This is a great local restaurant near the AC & Marriott hotels!

Noble Smoke

2216 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208

If you’re looking to grab a more substantial bite to eat before the Welcome Party, Noble Smoke’s restaurant is a great choice. We’ll have many of their sides featured as light bites at the Welcome Party too.

Optimist Hall

1115 N Brevard Street, Charlotte, NC 28206

Optimist Hall is a great option for folks who can’t agree on what to eat. It’s a large food hall with tons of local options to choose from. This would be a great spot for dinner before the Welcome Party or breakfast or lunch before the Ceremony on Saturday.

Rosemont

1942 E 7th St #107, Charlotte, NC 28204

This is another great option for dinner before the Welcome Party, and it’s also where we had our first date. Sam does NOT recommend the Vesper, and Elizabeth recommends that you request your salt on the rim of the glass, not the side, if you’re having a margarita. Otherwise, everything is fantastic as is. :)

The Little Sugar Creek Greenway

If you’d like to get outside and do some walking, running, or cycling, we highly recommend hopping on the Little Sugar Creek Greenway. There are tons of access points all around Charlotte.
