Back in December of 2015, I was working as the bar manager at Novara and Rich was working as the kitchen manager. Rich usually did all of the runs to restaurant depot and on or around 12/27, I gave him a list of things to get before introducing herself. “You’re the guy that gets things right?” Rich was looking super hot in his black chef coat and was writing things down in a comically small notebook. When I realized how rude I was being, I said, “oh by the way, I’m Lizzy” Rich smiled this little cute half smile, wiped his hand across his shoulder to his chest (very important detail) and then shook my hand. IT WAS THEN THAT I KNEW HE WAS TROUBLE. We got to know each other through work, restaurant depot runs and sharing food (always pizza) in the back of the Novara kitchen by the water pipe. We met each other at a really tough and lonely time in both of our lives and were exactly what we both needed. Once we decided to go for it, things moved pretty fast. Three and a half years later, we have the house and the toddler, now it’s time for the rings. Rich is the hot, kind, caring and extremely funny guy that I fell for and I’m still the babe I was back then. Except now we’re both tired all the time.
