We have lived together for several years and our home is already very well equipped and furnished. As a couple we dream to take many adventures abroad! We kindly request that should you bless us with a gift in celebration of our marriage that it be funds to help us make our dream of exploring the world come true!
While there is no specific dress code, this is a special event for the bride and groom, and they would love to see everyone in "dressy casual" attire. When considering footwear please keep in mind this will be an outdoor event.
The wedding ceremony and reception will be held at the bride's father and stepmother's home, endearingly referred to as "the big house". Parking will be along the street on Old Chatman Rd which is to the west of the residence (or to the left if you are looking at the gate of the home) . There will be a golf cart available to pick you up from your vehicle if mobility is a concern.
Although there will be no cash needed for food, drinks or tips, there will be two very important events/activities where cash will be necessary. We will have a wager for who should get cake in the face, the bride or the groom. Bring your cash to make sure you can place your bet. We will also celebrate with the prosperity dance/money dance. A tradition where guests pin money to the attire of the bride and groom for a moment to dance. The contributions will be used on our honeymoon.
There will be beer, wine, and a signature cocktail provided by the bride and groom. This will be self-serve and no need to tip.
A variety of the bride and groom's favorite dishes will be served buffet style. (to be determined)
There are bigger chain hotels near the highways, but there are also some Airbnb's and small local Bed and Breakfast locations closer to the ceremony.
