Virginia Museum of Fine Arts

The VMFA is open every day and is free to visit. Even if you're not interested in the galleries, the gardens are a nice area to stroll around or to sit and have a picnic lunch.
Black Hand Coffee Co

Black Hand was our go-to coffee shop when we lived in the Museum District. It's a great spot for a quick cup of coffee, and it's an easy walk to the VMFA.
Garnett's
