FAQs

Question

Where will the celebrations take place?

Answer

Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place at The Maine of Williamsburg, located at 2580 John Tyler Hwy, Williamsburg, VA 23185.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Because the ceremony begins promptly at 3:30pm, we recommend you aim to arrive by 3:00pm to ensure you are able to comfortably arrive on time.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest family and friends. As we're keeping it intimate, only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your formal invitation and when you RSVP.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

A limited number of rooms have been reserved at Hampton Inn & Suite Williamsburg-Central, located at 718 Bypass Rd, Williamsburg, VA 23185. We’ve included hotel recommendations on our Things To Do / Travel page as well. Guests are welcome to make accommodations wherever they prefer.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

For our special day, we've decided to keep our wedding adults-only, so everyone can fully relax and enjoy the evening with us. We hope you'll take this as a chance for a special date night!

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

We can't wait to see our loved ones all dressed up for our big day! Please join us in your best formal attire. Ladies, we kindly encourage you to dress in a floor length or midi gown, no mini dresses please. Darker hues such as black, navy, charcoal, or deeper jewel tones are preferred. Please keep in mind the ceremony will be held in grass so make sure your shoes are comfortable! Gentlemen, we kindly encourage you to dress in a black/navy suit. Please no denim.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us, and the hangover is on you! Please drink responsibly.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

The greatest gift you can give us is to be fully present as we say our I do's. Therefore, we are having an "unplugged" ceremony (no phones or cameras). We have hired professionals to capture this moment for us, so please allow them to do their best work. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you would like!

Question

When is my RSVP due?

Answer

Once you receive your formal invitation, please RSVP by September 1st, 2026. We kindly ask that you respond by this date so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Please note, if you do not RSVP by September 1st, 2026 you will be marked as "not attending".
