The ceremony and reception are in the same place! There are only 30 parking spots, so we will be planning a shuttle service from Hood River, and three locations. The shuttle service will pick up guests leaving at 2:30 pm from the Hampton Inn and Suites and Full Sail Brewery; and then both will move onto Best Western to pick up the remaining guests leaving at 2:45 pm!
We are hoping to keep this an adult centered event for your enjoyment and your kids as well. We know a fair amount of you are coming from out of town and may have your little ones with you! We will be offering a professional babysitting service, which Paul and I will cover the cost of.. Please reach out to me if you are needing this the night of the wedding. I will be more than happy to talk details with you.
Dress code is similar to other weddings you have probably been to: it's a wedding, you dress up. Bring extra comfy shoes if you want to bust it on the dance floor.
Bring some cash only to tip your bartender please! We will be providing all of the drinks which will include wine, beer, possibly a signature cocktail or limited hard liquor as well as soda, lemonade or tea, and water.
There will be a shuttle service and we will fill you in on those times when we have them set! Likely the ceremony will start around 4 pm so be prepared to come around 3:15 where you will be met with some refreshments!
I highly recommend looking into the town of Hood River, Oregon for places to stay as they will likely have more to offer than Washington. There are hotels, Air Bnbs etc... If you are more interested in a hotel I would recommend any of these: Best Western Plus Hood River Inn (541) 386-2200, Columbia Cliff Villas Hotel (866) 912-8366, Columbia Gorge Hotel and Spa (541) 386-5566, or the Hood River Hotel (541) 386-1900. You can book these over the phone or online price average per night is $200.
River Daze Cafe, Border Ost, Kickstand Cafe, Bette's Diner, Pine St Bakery, White Salmon Bakery Co.. My favorite cinnamon roll is at the Egg River Cafe, can you bring me one if you go? Thanks.
Double Mountain Brewery, Ferment Brewing Company, Pfreim Family Brewers or Everybody's Brewing. All are good, ask Paul if you want to know more! Winery suggestions include Ani Che which is on the Washington side, women owned, gobs of literary reference; it's all over their labels. Syncline Winery is a bit of a drive but worth it if you have the time and has Cor Cellars and Domaine Pouillon right next door.
Celilo Restaurant and Bar, Henni's Kitchen and Bar, Hiyu Wine Farm, Stonehedge Garden Wine Country Bistro. You may want to consider reserving a table!
Temperatures are usually around 70 for a high and mid 40s for the low. Typically lots of sunshine, but it also could be raining! No way to predict this, however, bring a light jacket or something to layer into at night for your comfort.
